Every night when going to bed, it's the most annoying

moment of my day. Every worries, thoughts and music flows

in my head. After an hour, I go to the bathroom then after

another hour I look at the clock and then I fall asleep.

So it takes more than 2 hours and then in morning it's so

annoyingly sleepy. I hate myself that why not fallasleep at

night and stupidly feel sleepy now. Doesn't matter how

sleepy I am I have to be still for 2 hours. Next day if I just

wake up instead of having more sleep to fill the 2 hours,

my forehead hurts and often go to the bathroom.

  1. Hey there!!! I too have the same problem as u and I know exactly how u feel☺ 1st I only lay down to sleep when its time for bed at night. I stop drinking any types of liquids about an hour and half before bed time, so I don't keep using the bathroom. I stop drinking caffeine at 3 pm because all the studies I have read and Dr.s I have spoke to said to do that.I turn the alarm clock towards the wall so I cant see the time whenever I start to worry that omg it's almost daylight! or omg i have been in bed for 4hrs and I still cant sleep! ect. ok now this is where u mite find me strange but I assure u I am far from that so don't worry. I say my prayers, I am catholic so I do try to say my nightly prayers every night. and I tell God or my mom who passed away about my worries or whatever may be bothering me and then I ask for help to sleep. I then say my prayers and if I am still worrying I say over and over again the Hail Mary prayer in my head and when my mind starts to wonder I bring it back and say the prayer but this time I think about the words I am saying and what they mean. and then I fall asleep in the middle of my prayers weird I know but it works more than these other methods. I turn the t.v on and turn the volume down low but just low enough where I can just hear a little of it and I put the contrast on low to so it's not so brite and I turn a show on that wont stimulate my mind u know like a thriller or an action movie? coz they'll stimulate ur mind and u wont be able to sleep so I put on a movie I hate or a infomercial or whatever show that's boring.the reason why I have the volume on a little is coz it helps me STOP worrying or whatever else I am thinking know what I mean? I tried so many method the Sleep experts told me to try and they didn't work but the ones I just told u about worked for me. please don't think I am trying to get u to say prayers coz I am not but maybe u can use that and build off of it and think of your own like a poem or something know what I mean? let me know if any of these things help u!! Good luck!!

  3. You know, sometimes it can be because an extremely hot night like to me it happens. Or something physically is disturbing you, more correctly your brainwave pattern. But I want to really help you right now.

Here's nine priceless tips that work like crazy.

1- Stop worrying at night. When insomnia is happening to me it is because " I have million things to solve ". Then I say to myself "Stop, Magdalena. You can't resolve anything at 3 a.m."

2- Instead worrying, count backwards from 200, taking a deep breathe between each number and also visualizing clearly each number.

3- Or count sheep, but you should imagine only sleeping sheep

4- A superb trick is to move your toes of both feet at the same time, up and down, more than 30 times or until you feel tired and want to sleep.

5- Concentrate on "not thinking" pattern. And if comes any thought you gentle say "go away..."

6- To avoid insomnia, convince your spouse to give you a massage on full body before bedtime. It works wonderful. If not, even a scalp massage can be a big help.

    7-Sleep on your back.

8- If you wake up in middle of night and can't sleep, get up and do something non stimulating. Go back to bed when you feel tired.

9-Yawn four-five times. It will be a signal for your brain that is time to sleep.

    I hope I helped you a bit.

  4. The only thing that helps me get to sleep is to read a book.  I love Stephen King, so reading his books always lets me unwind and gives me something else to think about instead of bills, housework, etc.  If you dont like to read, then maybe try going to bed at the same time every night.  Eventually, your body will get used to it and it will become easier for you to fall asleep.
