Help,I need boy advice!?

Question

Ok, one of my guy friends asked me if it was true that I had a date to prom because he had heard one of our mutal friends say it. I told him yes and he said that he was mad because he was thinking of asking me to prom. Later on he said that he had a lil crush on me during freshmen year of high school. Now my first question is why is he telling he had a lil crush on me now??? Next, I tried to help find him a date for prom and asked him if he had found one yet and he said no and that he wants to go with me. He then said how he wished he would have asked me sooner and is still mad because he really wants to take me and how he does not know but for some reason he does not want to go with anyone else. He even said "please can i go with you". Also, he asked me who was the guy taking me and if he was nice. So my second question is what is your take on this? Thank you so much! The reason why I am asking for advice on this is because I tend to read TOO much into things.

well, maybe he was to scared to ask you... or maybe he was to shy to ask you out or tell you how he really feels bout you at that time...but i would TOTALLY go to prom with him if you really like him to..maybe you 2 are perfert for each other!!!

go with him if you like him but u obviously dun like him because u got urself a problem. so just tell him that plan and simple he is too late to ask you out for prom because it wont be fair for you to dump the other guy and if it was him that u had to dump for another guy then he would understand.

You read too much into things!!  Enjoy the prom and hope that he gets brave and asks someone, friend or special person.  Or cousin!

On my wedding night, at the reception, a good good male friend got just drunk enough to tell ME that he had hoped that I would have married HIM!!  He had never even asked me for a date!!.  How is that for shy!  And I did not read too much into it.  I have been wed for 40 years, and he is on his second wife!
