can you break a vein or vessel in your eye?

if you do what should you do.

okay i was cleaning my face,then when i splashed and wiped my face with water,i saw a had a little bit of red lines on the side of my eye,and a red Little dot next to it.i used water and everything.what does this this mean?will it go away by itself?should i wake my mom?

please help,I'm kinda freaking out here.

its nothing bad it happens it happened to me and it went away

Theres no need to freak out! You can burst blood vessels in your eye its not that rare. The redness will go away after a while.

Like Robbie said its really nothing to freak about you might just have popped a vessel in your eye and you might see that your eye has like a blood stein in it but that will completely go away in about 2 weeks, I had a vessel pop on my eye one time I was throwing up i didn't notice till the next morning but that happened cause I forced my self, it didn't hurt and it just went away.Now if it does hurt so much you cant take it, then thats you seek medical attention

Does it hurt or does it feel irritated?

More than likely the water and cleansing solution irritated your eye causing it to become red.

I would only wake your mom if it becomes painful (other than regular irritation)
