I keep fainting , it's happened about six times in the past 3 years and I remember doing it once when I was younger however I fainted a few days ago and I saw something , like something was happening in front of me even though it wasn't because my eyes were closed . I saw my sister pushing a toy along the floor and for some reason I was shouting at her , apparently I was shouting in reality as well . I fell on the floor and was okay despite the fact I hurt my nose slightly . Does anyone have any idea's what's going on ?

  1. after you faint, lie down and take a few deep breaths and make sure you tell a few people every you can about it, if there was pain, where, when, what were you doing it before etc. if you have a high problem go see the doctor. but 6 times over 3 years isnt too much worry

  2. You can have very low pressure, which would cause fainting, or you can be hypoglycemic, which is low blood sugar, and should be checked immediately, because it can be fatal.

If you lock your knees when standing, you can also faint.

The smartest thing is to get to a doctor sooner rather than later. There are many conditions that can be fatal and fainting is one of the last symptoms before you do lifelong damage. Also, if you fall wrong, or in the wrong place, you can injure yourself severly, or fatally.

This is serious, please seek medical help soon.

  3. First advice: see your doctor as soon as you can. Not urgently but within the next day. If you faint again in the mean time, call a doctor immediately, this is an emergency.

I worked as a paramedic for 6 yrs. From my experience there are many causes and problems involved.

If you're young, say a young teen, this may be more likely due to problems with your hormones, blood sugar level or low blood pressure, dehydration. Do you eat regularly, do you drink enough water, do you sleep well? Especially if you are very thin and fragile.

If you don't have cramps or are shaking then this is not epilepsy.

Another reason may be a psychological trauma or event triggering this, you definitely need to talk to someone professional soon. The fact that you are seeing thins is purely because your body is in a state of half-consciousness.

Then there are many other reasons including diabetes, blood pressure problems, and in some cases neurological problems, something causing pressure on you brain, etc

Hope you get a doctor's advice soon. All the best

  4. Fainting with hallucinations  (even fainting in general) should never be ignored.

You really must see your doctor about this and do so very soon.

  5. There are many options all must be checked out because I don't want anyone driving on the road with you if you pass out and kill someone!

low blood pressure, Low blood cell count, weak leg veins, "mini strokes" from thrombus and/or emboli (then you have to look at the source),  seizures, narcolepsy, medications, drug abuse, alcohol intoxication, and these are just the few things that are possible in the 20 sec I thought about it!  You can't answer questions like this, not enough information given and you can't perform a physical exam.

Advise: Quit driving (or other task) which could put your and others lives in danger if you experience another of these episodes.  Schedule a Doctor's appointment and keep it even if you are feeling fine or haven't had another episode since.  Tell a family member about it if they don't know so they can be aware if it happens to you and you are in water or out longer than normal for them to call 911.

  6. you must see a doctor
