Help ,I'm confused !

Question

I was born in 1982 which means that my Chinese sign is dog and my element is Water , but after i did a birth chart reading i was told that my true element is Strong Metal , so what does that mean and how is it calculated?

Hey Jack. In western astrology your element is water. You sun sign at least. Astrology uses all of the planets. Chinese astrology and western astrology are NOT to be compared to each other. They both work, THEY BOTH WORK, but they are practiced in ENTIRELY different ways. Their is not alot of info on chinese astrology (at least not anything beyond signs)  but from what I know the chinese use the lunar calneder as opposed to the solar calender in the west. An unlike the west the chinese have a sign not just for the month, but also for the day and year.

I have had a professional chart done by a western astrologer and it described me to a T. Im sure chinese astrology works just as well.
