  1. this storm i would rate a 2 you will prob. lose your power but don't panic until it becomes at least a category 4 storm

  2. Hurricane Dolly is currently forecast to make landfall near or over the extreme southern section of Texas sometime Wednesday morning.  However winds over the extreme southern Texas can become strong and gusty by late this evening.   It is a CAT 1 Hurricane.  Hurricane strength, based on sustained wind speed, are from the CAT 1 to CAT 5, with CAT 5 being the strongest.  Even though it is a CAT 1 storm at the moment, it still has the possibility to increase strength and size between now and early Wednesday when it is expected to make landfall.  Based on it size and speed, the greatest concern right now if you are living outside of the coastal regions of South Texas area (Coastal Bend region and southward) will be the possibility of extended periods of heavy rain.  This may lead to flooding.  Be ready to take action if you are living in or near the watch or warned areas.

Best thing to to right now is to monitor the storm as it approaches for any changes that may occur in its forecast.  This is especially true if you live anywhere near or along the coast of Texas and inland areas for central and southern Texas.
