Help?!?!??! ARt college advice?!?1?

What advantages and disadvantages would I have going to straight ART school, or majoring in art education?? I'm not shure what to do?

Most artists will need to support themselves with extra work. Teaching is one of the things that people do.

But often it's possible to teach art with just an art degree.

Not to be a wet blanket, but think carefully how you would support yourself. If you love teaching, go for the teaching--- but if not, you might want to consider some fields close to art (like computer and graphic design).

It's a very tough world out there for artists, lots of competition.

Art ed you can teach subject matter/media you learn and do your own art. straight art you will need to find an art related job and or sell your work to live...  You will not get rich being a teacher, people should teach because they love to share knowledge and can handle young people of the age they are going to teach. For me it was because my art is for me, no one else, so i share my skill... I went to a UC so i have no clue about art school... Find out about job prospects and do a bit of soul searching before you set it in stone
