Help. ASAP..new piercing...?!?

ok, so my boyfriend just got his ear pierced. And he said its swelling. It's a 14 guage. What is goin on? Is it just cuz its new? should he take it out for the night and put some medicine on it? what?!

Well that's what usually suppose to happen after piercings, they get sore and sometimes give off a discomfort because of the soreness. Just have him not play with them, tak ibuepofen (advil) and leave it alone. The swelling and pain should go done in a day or so, also do not remove the jewelry.

ijust didmine get a spray bottle and put alcohol in it and spray it like 7 times a day it cools it and kills anyinfection you can use nealsporin too and make sure you hands are clean when touching it

well iono whats the difference from guys and girls piercing if there is a difference but the girls if you get your ears pierced you have this formula they give you and you have to wash your ears with the formula 2-3 times a day and continue that for 6-7 weeks and DONT take off your earings for the first 6 weeks.

you ear is skin and cartilage and you juss poked a huge whole through it. it needs time to heel

it could be infected if its swelling up bad. But usually there will be a slight swelling and some discomfort. Keep it clean. DO NOT TAKE IT OUT during the healing process or it could close right up over nite. Try taking some advil for pain and swelling. If it doesnt get any better, go to a doctor b.c. it may be infected.
