Help! Are these names 'to alternative'?

Question

I like the babie names: GIRLS- Tanith/Adelle/Stouff and BOYS-Gerrick/Luther/Devon but my friends tell me these names are silly and I should go for the traditionals like Mary or Josh but I want my children to be unique..HELP! (Btw..I'm not pregnant or anything.

I kinda like Adelle and Devon but not really any of the others.I guess if you like it that's all that matters.

If you not pregnant then why ask a questions about baby names. The names  you have chosen are cool names. I know my daughter has a name you don't hear often but it's out there. You might change your mind if and when your get pregnant.

I love Tanith, Adelle, Luther, and Devon! Don't let your friends influence you -- it's YOUR prerogative to name your kids whatever you want when the time comes!

Devon isn't bad. For a girl, even though I don't love it, Adelle is definitely much better than the other. Stouff? I don't think so.

I'm curious why complete strangers' opinions matter to you more than your friends' opinions (lol).

I think Tanith and Adell are pretty. Stouff could lead to teasing (Stouffers Mac & Cheese comes to mind).

The boy names are all fine (I've heard Devon as a boy and a girl name).

well i have to agree with your friends about Stouff...that sounds like Stouffers and i'm pretty sure thats stuffing :-) Tanith is weird but not bad...Adelle is adorable! and your boy names are really  cute 2!! dont let your friends influence you

all 3 of the boy names are cute....very unique.

all the girl names are a bit too masculine except for Adelle.

Tanith is nice, but could sound like you are trying to say "tennis" with a lisp. Unless you pronounce it Tah-nit. Adelle is lovely, Stouff is just weird. Reminds me of stout, or Steiff teddies.

Don't like any of the boy names.

Just keep looking, there are plenty of good uncommon names out there. Don't settle for yet another John, when you can have a Dashiell, Silas, Nicodemus, Barnaby or Atticus.

Adelle sounds pretty and all of the boys names sound fine. but the other girls names are a little too out there.

Stouff, is just asking for ridicule. Tanith could be OK, but Adelle is perfectly fine. Gerrick, is OK, but a little weird, so I would be careful about that one. Luther and Devon are both fine.

Tanith - I like this, a little different, but usable

Adelle - lovely name, I would say it's very usable.

Stouff  - not usuable, reminds me of frozen food entrees.

Gerrick - usable, but i don't like it much.  prefer Garret, Jared, Graham

Luther - usable, but not a favorite, prefer Lucian, Lysander

Devon - usable but  I really dislike it.  too unisex.  I much prefer Gavin or  Declan

Adelle is different without being to extreme followed by Tanith. I would not use Stouff as a name sounds to much like stuff! For the boy names I like Gerrick the best followed by Devon. I think of Lex Luther for Luther. Good luck!
