Help! Broke the stem of an expensive seed plant! Can I revive it?

They were germinated around a week ago and are 5cm long out of the soil

  1. If it is still attached you can put tape around it to straighten and hold it up.


  2. It would help if you told us the type of the plant..then I could answer the question correctly

If you lost the growing tip of such a young plant and there are no other buds, that is no other true leaves present, you have probably lost the plant.  In these youngsters the plant hasn't had time to desposit adventitious meristem tissue, growth tissue, along the stem.  If you have true leaves, not those initial seed leaves, then there's a chance the plant will contine just fine.

  4. Need to know what kind of plant and how bad it is broke.  Broke as in no longer together, or broke as in hanging down.  

    Stake it up and hope for the best.
