Help California...?

Question

I am a Firefighter in Southern Virginia and work for the department of forestry there when they need it and am also a member of the National Guard.. I have exhausted all resources I can think of to go to California and help out with the wildland Fires there. I am certified in Virginia for Wildland Fires but because I go to College have not taken the short class for Federal Certification. I don't know who to check with because being realistic I can only go for a Month before school starts up again. So requesting the NG to send me there isn't going to happen because 1. I'm a Chemical Specialist Officer Cadet not a firefighter for them and 2. I cannot be deployed b4 I graduate college and don't want to because a deployment could lasts months. Virginia won't send us either because I'm not Federal and they haven't been asked specificly for extra support.. Any Ideas??

if you are serious and really want to help= e-mail the California state forestry dept= they will tell you what i will= if you can afford it, get out here for a couple of weeks ON YOUR OWN TIME= we can sure use the help, and maybe some of your ideas==but if you can't get out here, send any ideas you have, we need more for sure==also the power of prayer== keep up the good work, and God Bless==You fire fighters have the toughest job on the planet next to soldiers and police==we need all of ya so be safe my friend==
