Help Calls from Korea?

I have a friend in the army he is stationed in korea right now and hes called me once or twice and we have talked but i completely forgot about the charges i have never called him he always calls me on my cell phone im from california so there is a 17 hour difference and i know im using my minutes which is fine i just dont want it to charge my phone for anything.

So my question is will it charge my phone extra because he is calling me?

  1. You wont get charged for receiving the call. If you are worried tho try getting Skype. Skype to Skype is free no matter where the users are.


  2. As long as he is not calling "collect", then he is paying for the long distance charges.  

    If receiving calls on land phone, there are no charges to you.

    If receiving calls on your cell, then it is only using your cell "air time".  So, air time just depends on your cell package.  Normal charges apply, the same as any other incoming call to your cell.
