Help! Can't find my hamster!?

My hamster, Peanut, is missing. My best friend's little sister was watching her 2 days ago. I told her not to touch Peanut, but when I went to clean her cage, she wasn't there. I have already placed a pre-counted number of sunflower seeds in each room, filled a bucket with treats and stairs leading up to it, and left the cage open on the floor. Any other advice?

  1. My hamster poppy does the same all the time.

The only place I've new her to go is under the sofa or under a large object.

That's there way of hiding. Check under ALL of you large objects.

And DO NOT. Hoover your house. The poor little thing could get sucked up.

  2. close all the doors that lead to room and to the outside. start with one room and keep looking for her room at a time. check closets if they were open. Dont wait start looking room by room now. if you have a pile of stuff gently take peice by piece off of it. when my 1st hamster went missing i found her in my closet. idk if that helps!i would help you if i can. good luck!

  3. Dont vaccum clean and tell everybody in your house, even visitors. Keep all outdoor doors closed, and watch out for open ground windows.

  4. anything it can get under is where it will probley be bcuz in the cage they burrow some they probley think they borrow that so it can hide!

  5. um... if he got out, then he's probably like my bunny, Bella. Check your books and garbage bags... Good luck!

  6. Look behind all the furniture small animals like to hide and burrow and be in tight, small, confined spaces

its not much help but it helped me when i lost my pet rat.

  7. if you have a fire place with vent that can open and close find out if its open if it did peanut probably fell down there and you should go to the basement and open the vent thing from where the fire place leads to and he will probably be there.

btw he probably stuffed his mouth with food cause my bros hamster always did. good luck finding peanut!!
