1. My cat had the same thing after he was attacked by a coyote. The coyotes tooth somehow managed to puncture his lung without puncturing his skin. When he inhaled some of the air went through the hole in his lung and gathered up under his skin. We took him to the vet right away. I don't remember exactly how she healed it as since then my cat has also been hit by a car, attacked by a raccoon and lost in a blizzard for 2 weeks. But it healed and now he's just as good as ever. Is it possible something like that happened to your cat?

  2. my cat had a similar but smaller growth on her head.We thought it was nothing but a bump, but it grew within 2 weeks. We took her to the vet and they gave her antibiotics.

About a week later the skins started peeling and one day when she took a nap on the bed, it busted and some fluid came out along wit blood.Though it left a hole-ish scar.

but after than she was healthy.i think it was an insect bite or infection.

  3. cut it off........... it might hurt the cat a little though

  4. go to a veterinarian immediately...that's not healthy and it should be checked out.

  5. You definitely need to get your cat to the vet immediately. It is probably a non-malignant growth, but to be safe, get it to the vet. When I was a child growing up, we had barn cats. They were there to take care of the mice and rats in the barns. They were not fixed or vaccinated. We kept them well fed and watered because believe it or not, a well fed cat is a better mouser. They aren't hunting to stay alive. Now we had a Tom cat that would fight any other male cats that would show up in the barns. From fighting, he had these growths on his face and head, bumps with no hair on them, they were pink in color. What they were was battle wounds that turned into growths or tumors. We didn't do anything. As long as the cat wasn't suffering, but let me tell you they looked ugly. Now today, it seems that pets get a lot of human diseases such as diabetes, cancer etc. Because of the cancer thing, take him or her to the vet.

  6. take her to the vet right away

  7. One of my kittens has a problem that sounds identical to this. We took her to the vet, and it turns out that hers was just an umbilical hernia. It's a small hole in her body wall that allows a little bit of belly fat to poke through. The vet said hers was healing on its own, and there was no need for surgery.

This may very well be the problem, even if your cat is an adult. The vet said that some cats develop hernias as they grow up, and it may not necessarily mean that there is something serious going on.

Nevertheless, you should take your cat to the vet so they can see what's happening. A bubble the size of a quarter is a little bit big, and if it's a hernia, it could be large enough for some of her intestine to poke out.

Here's a website that has gives a little information about it.

Let us know how she is doing, okay?

  8. my parents dog had a similar sounding thing on her neck. it was just a build up of fluid for some reason and had to be drained to make it go away, but it did reappear a few times and she had to go back to the vet, but it was nothing to worry about. hope thats all it is :-)

  9. tumour possibly?? check it out asap

  10. i know everyone will write this, but its cause its the only way ull find out how to make ur cat better. u have to take ur cat to the vet as soon as possible. u dont want it to be too late to fix it so go as soon as u can. only a vet can help you with that. people on this can only guess but they wont know for sure so u have to get it checked out. i hope ur cat is ok. im sorry

  11. it might be a fatty tomur..my aunts dog had that on his neck and he was fine but see a vet asap! dont ignore this.

  12. How old is your cat? What does the bump look like under the hair?

  13. Take her to her vet for a biopsy. That's the best way to find out what it is.
