Help!! Cheap&Clean$Nice Hotel in Rome!?!?

I want to suprise my boyfriend for our 5th aniversary with a trip to Rome. I have already purchased the flight tickets, but now it seems that hotels are too expensive (we are staying 5 nights!!!)...Any suggestions??? (cheap means: up to 65 euros per night) I've looked in many web pages and there are little pensions without bathroom. Probably an aparthotel, somehting nice and not too expensive. I don't want luxury, but a clean and nice quiet room to sleep. I've read also that some cheap rooms are in "dangerous" zones...

Anyhow, If you know any nice&clean&cheap hotel/pension please please tell me....

Thanks!

  1. i dont know of one

  2. My fiance and I were in Rome in June. We stayed at B&B Maryelen, which is located about three blocks from the train station. Not the nicest of neighborhoods, but far from dangerous.

A room with private bath, and balcony (!) was about 80 euros a night (I'm sorry, I don't remember the exact amount) and included breakfast.

Loredana and her husband are incredibly nice, and they also have a restaurant across the street with good food and decent prices.

  3. try this site www.vrbo.com

I always find nice lodging cheap on this  site

  4. Wow, that is a tough one!  I live in Rome and the cheapest hotel I know of is the Holiday Inn located outside of Rome and it's not even a nice Holiday Inn.  The cost per night is over 100 euros!  I will ask around for you if you want to give me a couple of hours.  Send me a message ;)

  5. We have written extensively about our favorite, which is Hotel Delle Muse http://www.hoteldellemuse.com/ , in the Parioli district, a beautiful residential area.

Since you're watching your budget, you'll be interested in knowing that you can have complete, delicious dinners in the hotel dining room or garden, weather permitting, for just 10 euros per person.

    Hope that helps!
