  1. The type of soccer cleat you get should depend totally on your needs/ wants. For a midfielder, I would recommend a fairly light (due to the amount of running you will be doing) but also a shoe with great control and will feel good on the ball.

I prefer Adidas but it's all up to the person again. Remember you want them to be comfortable as well. Soccer cleats are generally fairly expensive so with $80 budget you won't get the best but you can get great/ good cleats. Most cleats run in the $100-$200 range, but you can find good cleats on sale.

Also, you need to remember that cheaper cleats probably won't last as long and might disappoint. Their are cleats that are considered "fake" which means the materials are cheaper and won't be near as good as the real ones. So just be careful which cleat you buy, but again it's all on how you feel with the boot.

Here are a few links of different cleats to look at and just look and see if you like them! Just a few Ideas. You can look for yourself at www.soccer.com

    Hope this helps!

  2. well for that budget its hard to get a good set of cleats. I would recommend either Nike, Addidas or Puma. As a former soccer player that use to play left midfielder i would say these are these are the best brands simply because they use the best material and don't wear out as easily as the knock off brands. IF you MUST stay within the $80 dollar range i would recommend checking ebay. You can get good cleats at a very good price. if your willing to spend a good amount more for very good shoes i would recommend the Nike Mercurial Vapor 4.

Weighing just 8.1 ozs, The Mercurial Vapor 4 is one of the lightest soccer shoes in production.

    - The Fibre-composite sole and patented Vapor Traction System offers improved traction and comfort.

    - The sleek, streamlined lace-cover tongue-top helps accuracy and enhances touch.

    - An injected TPU heel wrap with glass-fibre insert and lateral heel pods provide extra strength and protection.

    - The Moulded E.V.A. sock-liner cushions impact at high speed.

    - Teijin microfiber uppers used to conform to the natural shape of your foot.

    - Carbon heel wrap helps to stabilize mobility and comfort while using an internal chassis for direct energy transfer to keep your speed high.

    - FG - for use on firm, natural surfaces
