I have never been to LAX and am travelling toronto-lax-brisbane. I need some help from some experienced fliers!

I arrive at terminal 4 and leave at the international terminal. This is all on ONE ticket (through Quantas but fly TO to LA on AA)

Can anyone help me and explain what will happen once i get to LAX? (security, customs, travelling to terminal etc??)

Thanks!

It will operate daily from 4pm to midnight from gate 44 in T4. This will eliminate having to pass through security a second time. 2. Just collect your bags and clear customs. Then check in for your new flight at the correct terminal. Pretty simple really isn't it?

  3. You will clear US Customs in Toronto, once you arrive in LAX you will arrive as if you were a domestic passenger. There is  apparently a free shuttlebus from T4 to the Tom Bradley International Terminal. This is from the Qantas website about lax transfers:

"A dedicated complimentary shuttle is available to connecting passengers flying on Qantas. Passengers connecting at Los Angeles to travel to Australia and New Zealand will be able to transfer from Terminal 4 (T4) to the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT). It will operate daily from 4pm to midnight from gate 44 in T4. This will eliminate having to pass through security a second time. Passengers who wish to exit the terminal will also have that option. You can also walk between terminals by following the directional signs.

Tom Bradley International Terminal and Terminal 4 are adjacent to one another."

You should not have so rego through security in LAX. Will have to clear Australian customs in Brisbane.

    Good Luck

  4. Your security should have already been done at Toronto and then you complete that when you get to Brisbane. I'll be travelling to Brisbane as well on July 1st thru LAX. email me! Here are some maps at LAX that may help ya. Good luck!!

  5. Well, you'll go through customs in toronto then get on the flight to LA, get off the flight and go through customs at LAX then on your next leg to Brisbane you wll go through customs again. Are they connecting flights or just stopovers?
