Question:

Help? Constipation or not?

Hey,

So recently it has been difficult for me to make bowel movements. There were a few days maybe 5 where nothing at all happened. For the past few days I have at least passed a bit. I still feel like "blocked" but am unable to get an end result. Is this constipation? I have a slight pain in my lower stomach (but am expecting my period so I don't know if it is because of that!) and pain in my lower back.

What can I do to help this? What should I eat?

Thanks! I will pick a best answer! ♥

  1. Adding fibre to your diet is the easiest and most effective way to rid yourself of constipation and prevent its recurrence.

Eating bulk foods like bran, raw fruit and vegetables, or high fiber cereals daily will help to stimulate bowels naturally without causing the sometimes painful symptoms that other laxatives can.

DRINK MORE WATER! Consuming at least 8-glasses of water a day will aid in passing stool through the intestines.

  2. This sounds like constipation. It is not normal to have little or no bowel movements for 5 days. Try drinking 8 glasses of water a day, eating green vegetables and taking a teaspoon of mineral oil. Walk at least 45 minutes a day. If your bowels still don't move, see a doctor.
