I didn't wear googles,I didn't go underwater but I got splashed alot and water got in my right eye and it was kind of red and started to bother me so I took my contacts out and it's been like 1-2 hours and it's not better it's still blurry, Am I going to be ok? My left eye is fine it's my right eye my eye was really hurting then I took out my contacts and it felt better but its still a little red and blurry. I don't wanna die please help!!!And could it be an eye infection I don't know how I washed my hands and contacts good when I putt them in this morning and they didn't start hurting intill I had alot of water in my eye the pain was getting a little worse every hour then I finally took them out.

So answer these questions:

Am I going to be ok?

Why did this happen?

How can I prevent it?

What is the percent chance of me not getting better and having to go to the eye doctor?

How percent sure are you that I'm going to be ok.

Thanks!!

  1. I hope that you have disposable contacts so that you can throw away the ones you had on while swimming. Water harbors all kinds of icky viruses & infection causing bacteria. Contacts can & will soak those up in seconds. Everytime you put them in your eyes you are putting that bacteria in your eyes. So throw them away.  If the pain is still getting worse I would go to the doctor to see if You scratched your eye. That can be very painful & wearing a contact on it can cause it to worsen.  If you leave the contact out & do nothing  you have a 50/50 chance of getting better. Leave the contact out & see the Dr. you have a 99.9% chance of getting better.
