  1. Check out my answer on this thread. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

It's a little diffeent because her parents had said she could get one, but wanted to convince them that 2 was better, But a lot of the information is the same. Be prepared to back up anything you say.

    Good luck.

  2. Well for starters, how about trying the following:

#1 Cleaning your room and making sure that it STAYS clean and tidy.

#2 Making sure that your homework is done and handed in on time.

#3 Sweep the floors in the living room and kitchen without your parents asking you to.

#4 Wash and/or dry the dishes.

#5 Do not fight and argue with your sisters & brothers.

#6 Eat what you are given and don't whine or make "yuck" faces when given it.

#7 Don't talk rudly to adults

#8 Always share with other kids.

#9 Go to bed when you are told to.

#10 Research the pet and breed you want to be 100% certain that it is the right one for you.

    # 11 Ask them about getting this new pet in a nice way and don't beg and whine about it.

I'm 100% sure that if you give those a try, they will see that you are serious about wanting to add a this pet to your life and family. :)

  3. i am in the same position but i have never had a guinea pig before. try writing papers, making slide shows, drawing pictures, researching, talking about guinea pigs nonstop and don't wait to be asked to clean your room the bathroom ect.

and when you clean up after yourself and your parents asked why you did it just say because i am responsible =)

hope this really helps because i know how it feels to want something badly

  4. Well, you haven't done too much research, because you'd know that Guinea Pigs are MUCH happier with a same s*x friend.

That said, I don't know how much research you've done. You know that guinea pigs need pellets without seeds in them, right? And lots of Timothy Hay 24/7? And a 7.5sqft cage? And lots of fresh veggies every day?

Just try telling your parents that you have done lots of research(prove it, and actually DO research). What, do you have a deadline or something? August 12th? What's up with that? Are Guinea Pigs going extinct on that date or something? I don't see why you have only until August 12th. If your parents are really set against Guinea Pigs, it's going to take longer then that to convince them.

  5. u can say they are harmless

  6. just do the ABCs.........Ask if that doesnt work Beg if that doesnt work then Cry

  7. Well if you have owned one before and your parents think that you were no responsible enough for it, you probably weren't. Why not try somthing a litle bit simpler like 2 female mice?

  8. try to talk to them about the pro and cons about it! and say that u will take care of it!
