OK so i am 19 and when i was little i took some dance classes, then one when i was 10 and then lyrical, jazz, and drill team when i was 15 or 16 for a summer session and fall.

I am sooooo very passionate about dance (mainly modern and lyrical) that I want it to become part of my life. I don't want to dance professionally, but i do want to be on stage. I am hopefully taking a class at my college if its not full... but i was wondering what i could do to improve and if i can even take classes at a studio because i am "old".

I just love dance so much but my technique is sloppy because i have had so little training...

Help please???

  1. At most dance studios, you would be considered in the adult group.  some dance studios have tons of adult classes, and some don't have any.  If you live in the Long Beach, California area, (which you probably don't) then I would suggest a studio called Elevation Studios.  They have like a LOT of adult classes and here is the website just in case!

PS the second picture that says inspiration is the co-owner Alex and the picture that says determination is Robert the other co-owner.  Just thought I'd let ya know!  :)

  2. you can perform at a studio in adult classes.  Just google around for "dance classes in (your state)"  When you find one you can take up to seven classes a week at most studios.  I enjoy dance as well.  At your age and dance level you could even talk to the studio director and set up a pre professional dance plan.  And most dancing school do have events were you can dance and perform at different places and even competitions.  Hoped this helped.
