I removed 4 wisdom teeth on Tuesday and this is the third day. But this morning when I woke up to take my antibiotics, i saw there was some blood around my mouth and on the quilt and i could taste blood in my mouth but there was not a lot, just a little bit of blood, is it normal or I have dislodged my blood clot while i was sleeping? Will I get a dry socket? Also, I can't brush my teeth coz my face is swollen like a ball so i can't open my mouth widely, can i not brush my teeth for a couple days until i can open my mouth again?Oh, can i use Listerine Smart Rinse to rinse my mouth even though it has alcohol in it?

  1. It doesn't sound like you have gotten a dry socket because dry sockets are painful. It sounds like you are going through the healing process.

  2. DO NOT RINSE WITH LISTERINE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. If you want to rinse, use salt warm water, and rinse very gently. It sounds like possibly one of the sutures came out of the sight, I would definately call the dental office and explain to them the situation. It could be a case of A.) Healing or B.) Dry Socket, but I really think that one of the sutures could have came out, and  the sutures promote  healing. hope this helps :) i know first hand how painful this is!
