Help! Double vision and its not astigmatism!?

Ok, about 5 years back I did not wear glasses and everything was normal. However, these past five years, I have been infront of the comp a lot and although I had glasses, decided not to wear them. So when I look at a tree in a distance I see double vision. My left and right eye see perfectly clear, just that my brain can't make the two images into one. So its very difficult to drive. I also noticed that when I try to focus and make the two images into one, my eye just tends to relax and it goes back to double vision again. However, at a range of about one meter my vision is perfectly normal (Most likely due to it being the range of the computer and me). Please help! All my friends can't help me.

  2. i dont think theres much you can do by yourslef, maybe just close your eyes and very gently massage them, the  do an exercise where you pretend theres a clock in form of you then you look at the 12, then the 1, then go back to the 12, then the 2, then back to the 12, then the three, then back to the 12, and so on until youve done the whole clock, and try moving your eyes in clockwise and counter clockwise circular motions a couple of tes but if anything hurts, stop. even if this helps, you have to call your eye doctor. good luck! <333333

  3. My left eye does something like that.  It turns and I see 2 of the same thing.  The eye doctor calls it a Lazy eye.  I have had it since I was 3 and I am 26 now.

  4. Sounds like a binocular problem to me.  If you have up-to-date prescription glasses, I'd suggest wearing them; they may help with the problem.  If not, go see an optometrist and let him or her know your problems.  Good luck.
