I took 165 pictures on vacation and I want to email the folder of them to my family. I have AOL mail. How do I email the folder of pictures to them?? (It is probably simple, I'm not a computer person!)

  1. Well, that could be a little of a pain.  Emailing pictures usually degrades the quality of the picture and the size limit on the email is usually the biggest hurdle.

Here is how you attach a picture to an email:

    1) Grab the picture and drag it onto the email.

    2) Find the attachments button on the email that you are sending out.  Click it...then select the file that you would like to attach.

Or you and your family/friends can get an FTP (File transfer protocol) and transfer anything you want to each other.  here is the site for one of these? http://filezilla-project.org/

Probably the easiest way to do this would be to go to a site that allows you to upload your pictures.  Kind of like Myspace.com  You can upload your pictures to your account, then when your family members want to see them they can access them at anytime and save them to their computer.

  2. that's a lot of pics! Even if you upload them to a free service like sendspace or senduit, then send the link to your family to download, I suspect it will take a long time.

    http://www.sendspace.com/

    http://www.senduit.com/

it might be easier to buy a cheap sd card, load the photos onto that and mail the sd card to your

    family.....

or use photo sites such as flickr

    http://www.flickr.com/

  3. download winzip (if you don't have it). Once the application is installed, right-click on the picture folder and go to Winzip, and select the second option which should be "Add to XX.zip" (where XX is the name of your folder). The zipped file should be on your desktop. E-mail the zipped file.

  4. Zipping pictures will not compress them very much, just put them in one file. I am sure the file will be huge and not go through your email. Look at Google Picasa or some other online picture sharing website. Or, burn a disk and mail it.

  5. select attach files and put the pictures in a folder
