Help! Flat roof is killing us!

Question

I've had a flat roof for years and have tried several products. After a few years, usually less than five, it is in need of repair again. We don't have any way to finance the repair this time. Is there any program out there that can help?

Get rid of it.  Call a contractor and he can build an A frame.

Flat roofs are always trouble. The only solution is to get a pitched roof built.

Not sure of your situation or how the roof is attached to any other structure, but you could raise one side of it 6 inches or so to make the roof slope and then just shingle it. Well you will have to put the plywood down on top of the "stud rafters" and felt paper down and then shingle it. Depending on where you live you may need to get a building permit though to change the pitch of your roof. I hope this helps.
