Help Get into modeling ?

I'm not sure if I qualify to be a model, so I want to know what you think.

I have really blue eyes, I have blonde hair but I dyed it black so it's a brownish-blonde right now, I have fair skin, I don't really get tanned.

I've always been under a 100 lbs, no matter how much I've ate I always loose it within a week.

I have a "washboard" body as my boyfriend said

I'm about 5'4" or 5'5"

think I could make it and do you have any links to agencies?

  1. i think nowadays anyone that wants to could model.

high fashion doesn't even need to have a 'pretty' person.

you could definitely get into it.

but i don't know about runway.

i think they like the minimum to be about 5'7".

sorry, i have no links, but you could check in your phone book to see if there are any local agencies.

here's a bunch of stuff you might want to look at.

  2. Hmm. I've heard on Tyra and to audition for americas next top model, you need to be AT LEAST 5'7. So although you sound gorgeous, I don't think you'd make the cut!

  3. I'm sorry to be blunt, but the modeling business is very tough. Only a small number of models make a living at it full time. There are a large number of models competing for a small number of jobs. Success depends on many factors, starting with you looks. Other factors include your height/weight, ethnicity, where you are based, your ability to travel and the type of photography you are comfortable in doing.

Do a lot more research. See if you can find a local photographer to take some photos of you on a "TF" basis. TF means "Trade For". The idea is both model and photographer trade their time for photos. No $$ involved. You'll need to sign a release that allows the photographer the right to use them.

Thanks to shows like America's Top Model. modeling is popular right now. As a result, modeling scams are also very popular. If anyone, especially people claiming to be "agents",  asks you to pay anything, walk away.

    Good luck!
