Ok, so as a wonderful "Back to School" gift yesterday, I got my period. How do I shake the constant, nagging feeling that I will have an embarrasing leak and get blood stains on my pants? Help! :)

  1. On my heaviest days, I wear a pair of nylon basketball shorts under my jeans.  The material is semi waterproof (water wicking would be more correct term, I believe), and it makes me feel a lot less nervous about leaks.

  2. 1. Wear more than one panty-liner

    2. Wear a tampon too for safe keeping

    3. Wear black clothes

    Enjoy your day at school.

  3. Wear a tampon and a pantyliner one heavy days, so if there is a leak, the pantyliner will catch it! I do it all the time! Good luck!

  4. just wear a pad and get another pad in your purse just in case you need it. if your that worried than just get another pair of pants in your locker again, just in case! GOOD-LUCK! :)

  5. wear a pad if you want to  that has wings it does help a lot

  6. ohhh hunny thts wonderful !

just relax as long as you have the absobancsy pad/ tampon and you change it around every 3/4 hrs you will be fine just relax you will get used to it x

    good luck x

  7. wear a tarpoon, then a pad, then dark dark pants.

  8. I know how you feel. I started my period during school also. xD

Try wearing a pad, and a tampon.

I also wore skirts more than pants, that way if it leaks, it will not ruin your pants.

Wear as much dark colors as possible, especially red.

Bring an extra pair of undies, and some sort of shorts, skirt or bottoms in your back-pack and then your gaurenteed a back up if you do leak.

Keep MANY pads and tampons in your bag / desk / locker or whatever, because though your period may not be heavy now, it can get heavy very quickly. I brought what I thought was about 6 too many one day, and used almost all of them.

I recommend for your period survival kit:

    1 pair of extra undies

    1 pair of extra bottoms

    5 tampons

    5 pads

    (Or 10 of one)

    2 pantyliners

I know it sounds extreme, but it will help. :) I am 12, but I have lived with it.

    Good luck. :D

  9. get some tampax pearls and some carefree panty liners and u will be good to go. the reason i say tappax pearl they have leak gaurd protection.

  10. don't worry i used to have that feeling too just keep a tampon or a pad with you i your bag there are also little tins that come with pads now so you can keep your pads in there too, try to wear dark pants or underwear this helps to hide the fact that you are wearing pads or a tampon and try wearing biggish pants like womens boxer shorts these make it feel more comfortable during your period also a little tip if you are using tampons use a good brand like TAMPAX if you are using pads then ALWAYS or ALWAYS XTRA are a great brand they don't leak any blood or anything also the pads with the wings on make sure that they are properly in place and also don't worry at the end of the day it's normal to think these things just remember the people who make things like always and tampax are proffesionals who make these products to make sure we have a care-free somfortable leak-free period they know what they are doing so there shouldn't be any leakage good luck

  11. okay so this always happens to me and when i get my period its super heavy. so just wear a tampon and a pad with wings[these are the best pads because the wings help prevent leaks] and if you dont wear tampons wear a pad with extra absorbency. also wear dark pants[jeans are best especially if they are tight because it holds the pad in place better] hope i could help. good luck!

  12. ommg i STARTED my first ever period on my first day of school last year, it was horrible! wear trousers or shorts (under a skirt), and have a tampon and a pad in for most protection x

  13. you should wear a thick and long pad. sorry i forgot it's name.

  14. dark pants and a pad or a pantie liner and tampon. Bring extras and a jacket to tie around you waist just in case
