Help Graphics Card Decision?!?

Question

I built a Desktop Computer on Dell: Build A Computer, and I chose the best graphics card which was the ATI RADEON HD 2400 XT 256MB. I am unfamiliar with the ATI Brand, I am more acquainted with the N-Videia series, if anyone could compare it to an N-Videia card, and basically tell me what it can do performance wise, such as what games it can run, and how good it is.
