Help Guys always go up to my friend instead of me!!?

SO my high school is a small school in Florida only 500 kids. Most of them are really ugly!!!!! not to sound shallow at all please dont take it as that! But if u went to my school you would see!!! so my friend Liz is really pretty ! But the thing is i am pretty too. So we had this FRESHMEN mixer where you get to meet all the freshmen. Guys would always go up to her and talk to her and maybe say hi to me what do i do i felt really bad and tried talking to them but they were focused on her ;[ what do i do to get there attention off her? thanks ♥

My best friend is also really pretty, so when we go out together she usually is the one who is approached by guys.
