Help - Have a severe cough that wont go away?

Does anyone know of an excellent cough bottle i could get? I have a terrible dry cough that wont go away, its more annoying than anything, i have tried benylin and all the other advertised cough bottles but they are pathetic. I need help!!! Oh and also the one my doctor prescribed for me doesn't work AT ALL.

Me too.  I cough daily and every time I lay down.  Keeps me up at night.  (Works the abs well, though).  I take a Zyrtec in the morning and a Benedryl in the after noon and again in the evening.  It helps, but some allergies are worse than others.

Vicks Formula 44 - strange but it works better than any of the others for me. I tried everything for a couple of years when I had very bad dry coughs.  Also, drink hot fluids, it helps calm the muscles and moisturizes.

Very Very good stuff.

There is Waterbury Compound, however that may not be on the market where you live because it had stuff like lead paint thinner. we have a bottle at home, works wonders

Go back to your doctor and explain this and they will perscribe something different. Not all medication works effectivley for everyone

Hi - I use Covonia (?spelling) when I get a cough like this. Ask the phramacist for more info and to check its suitable for you
