how do you get tea off a white sofa if i don't get it off I'm dead meat!

It depends on the fabric, but, an effective tea stain neutralizer is white vinegar mixed with a very little pinch of baking soda.  Soak the spot with white vinegar, pour the baking soda on it and rub with a moistened cloth to work it in.  With a very damp cloth wipe off the paste and pat or blot dry with a towel.  If this does not work, buy RESOLVE fabric cleaner, if that does not work, your tea is remarkably resilient. Blot up as much of the tea as you can, using clean paper towels.  Then sponge the area with a clean sponge and club soda or seltzer and blot with more towels.  Continue in this manner until the stain is gone.
