  1. you can try to put orjeal on it to numb it

  2. Put ice on it. It will help make the bleeding stop faster &numb your tongue.

  3. Mouth injuries heal very fast.  Rinse your mouth with an alcohol based mouthwash or a medicated type regularly and after meals for a couple of days.

  4. put a band-aid on it or you try super glue

  5. You mean like from eating sharp things like lots of chips?

Not much. DO NOT PUT ORAJEL ON IT... it's not made for that and will irritate the cut and make it a whole lot worse. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL BASED MOUTHWASH... god, there's a bunch of bad advice on this thread. Alcohol's great for a lot of things but healing cuts is NOT one of them, even if those cuts are in your mouth. Your mouth is perfectly capable of dealing with that bacteria on its own (when was the last time you saw someone with pus on their tongue?)

Your tongue takes a lot of lickings (ha!) and heals pretty fast. Ice it if you like and take an Advil, but that's about it. Avoid alcohol, spicy foods... and of course whatever you did to make your tongue hurt in the first place ;)
