Help! How do I get a 4 month old kitten to stop crying?

My friend adopted a 4 month old cat that a lady gave up. She's had it for two weeks, and the kitten won't stop crying. She cries worse when her owner is around but is ok when her owner is not. The only thing that stops the crying is being held in her owners arms. How do we stop the kitten from crying incessantly? Her boyfriend wants the cat out if it doesn't be quite and I dont want to see the cat go back to a shelter! It's a "miniture' domestic short hair

  1. Maybe she should find a boyfriend who isn't a d**k?

  2. The kitten just needs some love & it seems like the boyfriend too. Tell him to get his panties out of the bunch that there in & calm down. Tell your friend to just love the kitten & show her she has a family. Consistency is key when dealing with any baby, animal or human.

  3. Let the cat out and play with it,

My kitten cries too but thats because shes in  a cage because shes too young to come out and run around, since our big cat doesnt like that shes sick

  4. first of all, if its in a cage or something like that, it could be the problem.you could play with the cat. and who knows, maybe with time it will forget. when we got our dog, he seemed very depressed and after about a month, he was better.

  5. One- dump the boyfriend. Two- Since the vet gave the kitten a clean bill of health, she probably is not crying, but talking to you.  Give her a toy, you can use a balled up sock, she is bored and wants attention. Is her box clean, that could be a problem too, cats like a  clean litter box. And at 4 months old and has a lot of changes in her short life. She needs reassurance she is not going to be dumped again.

  6. SOUNDS LIKE THE LITTLE 1 WANTS  TLC   MAYBE U SHOULD ADOPT IT??   MAYBE ITS MISSING ITS MOM....GETTIN A LL TEARY EYED NOW.

  7. 1- I would get rid of the boyfriend (and fast) just imagine him putting up (or not) with a baby. The kitten is soooo lonely. Poor baby, Get a big soft comforter, put in a safe quiet corner of the house.  A ticking clock, covered with a cloth is supposed to add to the comfort. Actually the kitten is probably going into heat. Please spay the kitten soon...They suffer terribly thru heat.
