Question:

Help! How do I get rid of fleas in Faux fur?

Recently I was working on my animal head for a costume when I realized that there were fleas in the lighter material. Picked out about 5 of them.

This is faux fur, not real fur. All fabric and thread and very clean.

I know that the fleas were there from pets in the house which we earlier realized had the fleas. I did not think the fleas would flock to my animal head next.

I can not restart the project, so how can I get rid of them?

  1. Very strange, unusual.  Try a flea powder.

  2. someone once told me to stand behind the exhaust pipe of your car and the fumes will kill and blow out any fleas that are on you.

  3. maybe try putting your head (lol) in a trash bag. make sure it's sealed really tight, hopefully suffocating the little buggers! Leave it in there for a few days, if you can.
