Help! How do I remove small decorative IKEA mirrors?

Question

I have a bunch of LOTS ikea mirrors and they are held up by double sided sticky tape. and I'm trying to take them down without ruining the wall behind, so far I've taken down 1 and it ripped the paint right off the wall. Any suggestions? I can't find a putty knife and a plastic knife hasn't worked so well.

We are in the process of moving and its those mirrors that are what is holding me back from finishing my packing by saturday...

I removed them without damaging anything ; first I sprayed water from top to loosen the adhesive after that i used sharp knife to scratch the sticking from wall . Thats it
