Help! How do you get rid of cockroaches?

These are huge cockroaches and i've already tried the spray that you get at the stores. They work for like two days and that's it.

Is there any other way to kill these bugs??

Oh and i've heard of boric acid. How do you even use that?

Just your lucky answer, I had about 100 cockroaches in my house. more maybe! They were crawling all over me! It was horrible. and i live in a nice apartment in new jersey. Go to the store like rite aid/ wal-mart/ food markets.. and stuff and get a bug bomb. it's some kind of thingand sprays in the house and we put one in every room. and we cleaned about 100 cockroaches. but you have to get out of the house. go shopping the day you bomb your house with the cockroach smell. and leave your window open. so when you comeback the smell will go. the picture below is what i'm talking about but it can look like anything. it'll kill the babies and nestings and everything keep your cabinets open and stuff.

Boric acid, spray a thin coating next to the walls.

also, get the gel, that works too

have to have a clean place...or they just come back

We used boric acid for pest control on our boat.  As there was just the 2 of us, we sprinkled it in powered from out of the way in areas that we suspected that critters may pass through.

It was also recommended that we use it mixed with powdered sugar.  The idea is that it will stick to the feet of pests as cockroaches, taking it to their nests.  They do like to clean their selves, this does them in.

You can get a professional company to come in and spray on a regular basis.  Are you in a house or an apartment complex?  One thing that works for sure is to keep your house cool.  Insects like warm places.  Especially if you are in an apartment,  keeping your place cooler than the one "next door" will keep the insects at the warmer apartment. And, keep pasta, rice, cereal, etc. in glass containers or metal tins, not the original cardboard they come in.
