  1. try google.com

  2. There is a website that offers free courses for anyone who would like to take them.  It is free-ed.net, and the link is below:

    http://www.free-ed.net/free-ed/

Also, I own/moderate an online resource list/support group for homeschoolers.  In the "Links" section, there are many free homeschooling resources.  If you would like to join, please do and feel free to access the links:

    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/christianh...

The University of Washington also offers some free online courses:

I hope this information is helpful.

  3. http://www.thehomeschoolmom.com/

    http://www.allthingshomeschool.com/

    Try these sites.

  4. you are homeschooling your brother who is a sophomore in highschool?

Most generally he should be studying:

    Algebra 2

    World History

    Either IPC or Physics

    English 2

    Some type of PE

and a couple of electives like Art, Journalism, Foreign Language, drama, or music or something

this is assuming he completed the following Freshman level classes:

    Algebra 1

    World Geography

    English 1

    Biology 1

    Health/PE

    Computer Technology of some sort

electives like art, music, drama, something like this

These are just basic, standard, run of the mill highschool level subjects and it can be MORE than a full time job to pull this type of information off the internet for free or from the library, even for experienced "do it yourself" homeschool teachers. I know because I have a friend that does this for her three girls and she is planning two years in advance, and she works on it all the time, putting in full days during breaks.

I did it myself for grade school and jr. high school level classes and it was A LOT of work, even for those lower level grades.

Your brother deserves a quality education with a full curriculum, planned and implemented with purpose and direction. If you cannot spend the time necessary to pull this type of info from the internet, perhaps a purchased curriculum for some of his classes would be good for him. And you.
