Help I'm having problems connecting my psp to pc!!!?

So I tried connecting my psp to my pc it said it didn't recognize the device. So I whent to mycomputer and something popped up saying eaaccesviolation and nothing happened so then I whent on my psp and i pressed connect usb well all that did was freeze my pc then i went on start search and put in psp and anything that came up i deleted thinking maybe the psp didn't install its hardware right. WATS WRONG?

  2. Try updating to the newest firmware version. 4.05 is the newest. Let the update download completely and press X when prompted.(This method is for updating VIA the network update icon under settings on the PSPs XMB.(Menu).

    You could also try formatting the memory stick. It is under Settings>System Settings>Format Memory Stick.

    You can also try Restoring the system defaults. It is under Settings>System Settings>Restore System Defaults.
