We will both be living under the same roof, as he cannot yet afford to move, and the house is in my name(he moved in with me). What possibly are the steps to being civil while avoiding the hurtful words until the move out is made?

  1. this is more common now days but very hard to deal with. The first thing you should do is set down and talk about it and figure out a move out date. hold him to the move out date. move a friend or family member in with you temporarily, because he will feel more out of place and won't want to be there and you will also have someone to spend some time with so you won't have time to get pissed off at him. there are a lot of good things about moving someone in with you if you can just set back and think about how it would be you might even smile thinking about it......

good luck and i hope my answer was helpful

  2. Ignore him.  View him as a roommate & nothing else.  Don't pick a fight over ANYTHING.  Even if he tries to get you to do that.  If he leaves a dish in the sink just wash it.  Don't throw it at him.  It will all be over with very soon.  Just breathe & look out onto that Horizon.
