For the past week or so i have been waking up several times in the middle of the night because my right arm is killing me. The pain is mostly from my elbow down to my wrist and my fingers are completely numb or tingling by the time i wake up. It's so aggravating it's already hard enough to sleep while you are pregnant and now this. Has any one ever went through this or had this issue if so please enlighten me on what i can do. I don't go back to the Dr. for 2 more weeks and i didn't want to make a appointment unless it gets worst. Can someone please help me? It usually gets better when i get up but not this time h*ll it actually feels worst please help.

  1. this happened to me with my second 2 pregnancies. it would hurt for most of the day for me. the doctor said i was probably just sleeping on it the wrong way. maybe try a different position, and get one of those body pillows

  2. It might just be because you're having to sleep in a different position from how you normally sleep.  It sounds like one of those aggravations you just have to put up with while you're pregnant, but you should tell your doctor at your next appointment.  Sorry I couldn't be more help.

  3. This sounds like carpel tunnel syndrome and its quite common in pregnancy.  I don't know why it occurs in pregnancy but I know it has something to do with the nerves in your wrist that get pinched and you get severe pain and numbness in your arm, wrist and fingers.
