Help....I'm trying to find out what my heritage is....?

I already know I'm part German, Dutch, Cherokee, and Irish, but I want to see if I have ancestors from other countries....here are some of the maiden names in my family

Ball

Brown

Canupp

Channon

& my last name is Bunch

Just looking up last names will not find your ancestors.  If you want to know your heritage, you will have to do the research.

The research may show you that you are not what you think. Dutch are many times Germans. People asked them and they said the were Deutsch which was changed to Dutch. The Dutch Forks Area in SC and the Pennsylvania Dutch are good examples.

Names mean nothing since they adapt as the family progresses, I have found most of my English, Scot Irish and others to be Germans when I follow them back.
