What could be wrong with me?

Never liked Obama and certainly will not vote for McCain( I just don't like politicians......period.)

But after last night watching Obama at the DNC; I think the guy can actually hack it with this country, I know not everyone will like and support him, but this is the real world.

But for a man of color to come this far; I AM SO PROUD TO BE AN AFRICAN-AMERICAN.

And for the 1st time since all these campaign started I wish Obama well and I will be praying for him to win. (afterall HRC who I supported endorsed him).

  1. step away from the koolaid

  2. Welcome aboard!

Ignore the naysayers and doom-mongers who say why bother even trying to fix the many problems in this great nation.

  3. Just make sure you vote for him as well.

  4. Take two aspirin and call us in the morning.  ;0)

  5. I think Barack is the best candidate of the two running.  I never would have voted for Hillary, and I certainly don't want to vote for another 4 years of the economic misery we're going through right now.  Last night just proved how intelligent, articulate, and thought provoking Barack can be.  He challenges people from all walks of life, and from all political parties to work together to make this nation the best it can be.  We need that right now, we don't need a president that will continue the war in Iraq, provoke war with Iran, and give tax cuts to the rich.  Trickle down economics doesn't work, Republicans need to realize that.

  6. You need to do much more than pray for him. You must make the Representatives and Senators you allowed to take office know that this is again a government of, by and for the people - not the special interests. As long as corporation have a greater voice in how and whether congress acts and the members of congress are primarily interested only in their own reelection - not running the country - now one man as president can do anything to get the corruption out of government. The millions the corporation contribute to election in the name of free speech gives them a far greater control than any individual. No corporation should have any greater voice than that of the individuals that work for it and those who agree with  their policies. Individual citizen have no voice in government compared to the money and advertisements put out by the corporations. You have probably have seen the ads by the oil companies that are meant to convince you that if only they can drill wherever they want the price of oil and therefore that of gasoline will drop. The facts have shown that with a reasonable input from government renewable sources of energy will become mature long before the first drop of oil goes through a refinery and gets to you. Further, the price of gasoline will continue to rise because of WORLD demand not what is produced in the U.S. In simple terms,  until you become ACTIVE in governmental affairs the CORPORATIONS will continue to run the country into the ground in the name of profit and you will continue to be in economic free fall while your rights are eroded. The mining, manufacturing and service industries are supposed to be there to serve us, the people, not we them. Until their vested interest in maintaining the status quo and the advantage the present laws give them over the people they will continue to keep congress tied in knots bickering over trivia to ensure that they do not loose any of their power to control the agenda - that the little guy gets littler and that the money goes only from us to them.

Until you become active and start kicking the butt of your congressmen and women - not just pray - you con not expect the president alone to make any changes in government. Until everyone unleashes a TORRENT of protest will congress pass laws that break corporate control of the country and give it back to the people. (Caps for emphasis only.)

  7. Good for you!!

  9. You're right...you do need help.

  10. Well. Its normal to change. XD

  11. An education does many good,

  12. His speech was full of promise and hope...but I fail to see HOW he will make all of those things happen without generating money...Same Democratic platform that all Dems run on.
