Hi everyone...I took my NCLEX PN exams yesterday and I think I failed because the questions were very hard and also I stopped at 120. I thought I will be feeling better today but it is not getting any easier. Any advise and encouragement will be great. I will find how I did soon! Thanks.

  1. Think positive!

If you score below the minimum proficiency by the first 85 questions, the test will stop-  There can be as many as 205 questions- If the test ended at 120 questions, it seems that it must have determined you knew enough to meet minimum standards-

Kaplan has a great review/study aid for about $30.00, worth every penny-

I bet you did just fine-

  2. Well, you can't change the past so no use in stressing out about it.  Worse case scenario is that you didn't pass.   The good news is that you can take the test again so the thing to focus on is how to do better next time.

Do you know the answer to the old question "How do you get to Carnegie Hall?"   Answer: "Practice, practice, practice".   And that is how to build up your confidence and readiness for your next test session.   Keep on taking practice tests until you are getting through all the questions in the allotted time and scoring way above what you need to pass.  So you'll be a shoo-in for passing next time.  Besides, now you know what to expect, so it won't take you by surprise.  You're now in a good position for judging if a practice test is realistic or not.
