Question:

Help! I can't control my eating!?

I'm in the gym 3-4 days a week.I don't drink soda, eat processed foods or anything with high fructose corn syrup or partially hydrogenated oils. I drink tons of water and have tried to split my three main meals into 5 to 6 mini meals. I only eat whole grains (no white flours or white rice) and try to get my full RDA of fruits and veggies. The problem: I can't stop eating. I always feel hungry, especially in the late afternoon. I need to lose about 15 pounds and to achieve that, should only eat around 1500 calories a day. Realistically (and I do keep a food diary), I am consuming 1700 to 2000 a day. Any suggestions?

  1. Hello it is well publicised that fad diets are useless for permanent weight loss. I make the suggestion that you mosey on down to http://www.loseload.com its an excellent site with lots of free help and support. I lost 5 pounds in seven weeks by doing as they advised

  2. If you keep a food diary, then you probably know the high-calorie foods that are sabotaging your total daily intake.  Try to cut the things that have the most calories.

I have found that when I eat more protein, I feel less hungry.  This is especially true when I start my day with more protein.  If I eat a cheese omelette in the morning, for example, I can go a lot more hours without eating than if I eat two slices of whole wheat toast and a glass of milk.

I recommend tracking your calorie intake with the help of a website like http://www.thedailyplate.com/.  This website includes even food from chain restaurants!

Unfortunately, even healthy carbs are high in calories.  Stick with lean protein, fruits and vegetables when you are hungry to cut down on your calories.

  3. well first off try to eat slower. it helps and eat a meal together that could make you full like, meat, some veggies, and a popsicle with water.

also when your working out your loosing calories.

just before you go to the refridgerator think i dont need this if its extra calories

  4. You eat very healthy so it should not be a problem. Try to eat foods that are high in protein since they help you fell fuller. If you fell like snacking try low calorie alternatives such as baby carrots or some fruit.

  5. add green tea and more fibrous fruits to your diet..you muscles may be quite active, but thats a good sign!dont fret, cheer up!
