  1. Have you tried clearing it?

    This is easiest done by opening the computer, taking out a wrist watch type battery and leaving out for 5 - 10 minutes. (Leave it overnight, just in case).

  2. remove the cmos battery for 20mins, this will reset the bios to default :)

  3. If you can open your computer please do as under :-

    1) Switch off and remove all Cables from your PC (CPU);

    2) Open the cover and locate a Cell normally of Big Button size;

    3) Carefully remove the cell and after around 60 Sec. re-place the cell;

    4) Be-careful and take care of polarity of cell (+ / -);

    5) Close the CPU cover and re-connect all cables;

    6) Switch on your PC and you will find everything back as normal.

    7) You might need to press "F1" once after re-booting to accept default Bios settings. Just press "F1" and if required "F10" afterwords and "Enter" key to accept and save default BIOS Settings.

    Hope this will help a bit :)

  4. ok, go to Bios, enter advanced settings (i think) and make sure boot disk one is set to hard drive. try that and tell if it works

  5. If you can, after you have booted your computer, press the F8 key repeatedly until you see text on the screen. What you need to look for is LAST KNOWN GOOD CONFIGURATION.

    Select this by using the arrow keys, and then hit ENTER.

    Depending on your computer. You may need to press some other key than F8. Maybe F2 or F12.

  6. This could be bad. Changeing anything in the bios is fraught with danger especially if you do not what you are doing . Any way, try this. Open your computer case and look at the motherboard. Do not touch anything as static from you can discharge itself onto the motherboard and destroy certain components. Earth yourself and make sure the computer is switched off but still plugged in as this will earth it. Look at the motherboad and you will see a silver flat battery. This is the cmos battery. Remove this and leave the computer for about 1 and half hrs. Put battery back in, put case together and switch back on. This sometimes cures bios settings by restoreing to the default. I cannot gaurentee it will work. You should still be able to enter bios by tapping  the f2 key on bootup and restoreing the settings back to auto. Hope this helps. (try the f2 key first!)

  7. In your bios, try setting it on default, or taka out the coin shaped battery and unplug the power for 5 minutes.
