Question:

Help?!?!?! I cant fall asleep at night and schools starting soon

Okay, usually during the school year i go to bed around 9:30-10:00. so I'm trying to fall asleep around then to get used to sleep early and i cant fall asleep until 12:00-1:00-2:00. what can i do to fall asleep easier? I'm trying not to take medicane but if i absolutely have to i will.

Oh and i have to wake up at 6:30 the bus comes at 7:30. It's wierd but i have to get excatly 8 or more hours of sleep no more no less or i will be the grumpiest person ever. lol. its not like i can help it. lol.

  1. I agree that meditation and relaxation practices are the place to start, but failing that a simple SAFE medication for occasional insomnia is Benydryl.  You will feel drowsy, not drugged, and will not feel sluggish the next day.


  2. Seems that you are full of anxiety and you should learn to let go and just don't  think so much.

    Take a glass of hot milk and say a prayer and just relax and go to sleep.

  3. Your mind is too busy when you go to bed.  It doesn't turn off immediately, so start winding down earlier in the evening.

    Lay off the caffeine after dinner.

    You don't need pills.  Perhaps a little more exercise.

  5. I had your same problem! But what i had to do was start doing more in he day because  you know how like in summer you basically do nothing all day and can stay up all night and like during the school year you do absolutly everything you can and you cram all of your work in?? well your body has gotten so use to going to sleep late because you have so much more energy to saty awake while during school you are pooped when you gat home from school and extra curicular activities and stuf like that, so try doing more in the day so that you wil be so tired that your ody wants to go to slep!!   6. You need to make yourself wake up early these next few days. You may be grumpy, but that's the only way you can re-train yourself. Waking up early will make you more tired when it's night time, so you'll fall asleep at your desired time.

    If you're afraid you won't wake up and stay up these next couple of days, then commit to something where you know you cant back out...like tell your grandma you'll come help her in the garden at 8am, or go pick up your schedule at school early...something you know you cant sleep off.
