Help.. I changed some plugs in my house, now half my house is out of power... what did I do wrong?

  1. Sounds like you knocked out one side of your panel........you only have 120 volts instead of 240 coming into your home....just switch your main kill at the panel and try that first and right back on


  2. Did you go outside and turn off the entire power to reset them? If not go flip all the switches off then flip them all back on a few seconds later.

  3. when you changed the outlets did you s***w the wires down or push them into the back. s******g them down is best. the white wire neutral if it is not hooked up you can loose many outlets.

  4. half the house is out of power? Receptacles or lights? Make sure all the wires got attached when you changes the recepts. they are wired in a series and if you missed a wire or they came loose the rest in the series will not be powered. check fuses.
