Help! I don't eat during the day but I eat at night?

Recently, for the past month, I haven't been eating during the day, since I wouldn't be hungry. I'd force breakfast and was alright about dinner (at 3-5). However, once it is 9 - 12, I am terribly hungry. And this will contribute to weight gain!

What can I do?

  1. I think you already know the answer. You need to just start eating again.

    To really lose weight you need to eat 5 meals a day. At the moment your body is thinking that you are starving so it stores the fat. If you eat 5 meals then the body knows that it will get regular meals so it doesn't store fat.

    It may take a while to work but once it does you will never have to worry about weight gain ever again.

  2. It sounds like your body clock is out of whack. You will have to retrain yourself. As you know, it is not good to go without food during the day, because food is your fuel. Find a way that is good for you to eat during the day. Do you have a schedule for school or work? Make it a point to eat something in the morning even if it is peanut butter, a banana and milk. It doesn't have to be big or fancy, but just nutritious.

  3. It doesn't really contribute to weight gain its just a bad habit, you tend to "snack" more and eat junk, just stop it, eat your b-fast,  a nice well rounded one, get up early enough that you have time, then for lunch eat at least a quarter of your days calories. then snack (healthy) at dinner time, and snack at 9 like yogurt and apples, or a light salad. if you eat light enough at 9 you'll be hungry for B-fast..

  4. You need to eat small meals during the day.  If you don't eat, your body has no way of knowing if you are lost on a deserted island and will store up fat.  If you eat regular small meals throughout the day, your body understands that you are in fact, not starving.

  5. You need to make yourself eat more often.  Your current eating habits will kill your metabolism.

  6. Try some rice cakes or try to go to bed before you get hungry.


  7. you should force yourself to eat a big breakfast, then eat light for the rest of the day. this way, you won't be hungry later on, and you'll burn off the calories from breakfast.
