I graduated with a bachelors degree a year ago and moved home to save money. Well I havent been saving any money, and havent seemed to gotten my bills paid down that much either. I am stuck in a low paying office job where I dont do much of anything, I am not even using my degree to its potential. Most my friends are in relationships and or dont even live near me anymore. I am bored, lonely and need some changes. I am starting to become extremely depressed. I know coming here isnt gonna do much but any advice/suggestions and/or words of wisdom would be highly appreciated, thanks :)

  1. Well since you have the time I suggest you read. Get into some motivational stuff like "The Monk who Sold his Ferrari". Then get off the dime and go to work. You have no purpose and that's why things seem to be going nowhere, imagine a job that you would really like to have and work towards it. You have what is called an abundance of fatigue and it is affecting your direction in life, if you don'' get to a balanced place your life will get worse. Since I'm pretty sure that's not what you want: Eat sleep and dream that perfect job, amaze those around you with and enormous giving and bright thought. Just try to remember this doesn't come easy as you will be starting on a new journey that will take some brain training, but since you made it through school and have been working your not a total loss.... Get up and go to work, start putting out those resumes and cv's for the job you really want, and don't do it all on line. Hit the streets my friend and it will work out.

  2. date, find new friends!

  3. Move away from home to a big city where the jobs are for your field. If you have not realized it yet most of all college degrees are worthless as everybody has gone to college. Learn a trade.

  4. Know how you feel...did the same thing when I was 22.  Nobody understands how bad it sucks to be in a dead end job.  You have to know what you want.  If you want a sales job, your best bet is to walk in the door and ask for it.  How is anybody going to know you want to work for them if you don't ask?  Be aggressive in searching for new jobs.  Good luck!

  5. Are you me?  This is exactly like my life. I was putting my degree to work at Wal-Mart (LOLOLOL) but I couldn't take it anymore and quit. Now I'm unemployed. So now I am washed up and alone at 23!!

  6. debt is a difficult thing to take on. However, its possible. Take on one thing at a time. Many experts suggest listing every individual debt you have and taking on the biggest debt and the littlest debt item on your list at the same time. this will give you instant gratification for eliminating the smallest item plus minimize the biggest debt you have.

might i also suggest finding another job with better pay. this can be tricky in today's market however. dont leave your job before you have another one lined up.

talking with a financial advisor will also give you knowledge and confidence to take on other challenges.
