Help! I have Anti Virus XP 2008 on my laptop! How can I get this off?

What is the best thing I could use to get rid of this virus? Free would be nice, but not necessary.

also just so you know malwarebytes does not work , but you can try t if you dont beleive me

Restart your PC in safe mode with networking

Download, install and run a full scan with Malwarebytes

Run a full scan with Micro Trend House Call

After the scans, restart the PC and update your anti-virus, remember to only have one anti-virus installed on your PC
